The book is really easy to use. It's set up in three parts. The first is Understanding the Elements of Health, the second is The Disorders, and the third is Remedies and Therapies. I appreciate that the book covers the common and the uncommon. Now in the 5th edition, and over 800 pages, it is extensive coverage over about anything you could ever want to know.
After reading about the issue or illness, the book sets out nutrient recommendations in a hierarchy of importance. They are listed as Essential, Very Important, Important and Helpful. It includes the dosage and comments as well. The back of the book has the manufacturer or company's contact information, if needed, as well as Health Organizations and even further Suggested Reading, which is a goldmine.
Finally, the book covers all the Herbs that would be beneficial for the malady, and any further Recommendations, including a Considerations column that covers clinical studies and past history on the issue that may be of interest. To top it all off, the cost of this book hovers around twenty dollars from our company, making it an outstanding value. So don't think the nutritional doctor doesn't make house calls anymore. Thanks to Balch and Bell, we can access what we need all in one great place. Ellen
