Can you really get all your healing amino acids and Omega 3’s delivered at the cell level in a great tasting way? Yes, it’s possible. But let me explain. The late Dr. Budwig developed a cottage cheese and flax seed oil mix especially for cancer patients that I have recommended to people for years. The science behind it and the extensive research about the combination are all over the net, with thousands of people sold on its effectiveness.
According to Mike Vrentas from Independent Cancer Research Foundation, Inc., “Dr. Budwig discovered that when unsaturated fats have been chemically treated that their unsaturated qualities are destroyed and the field of electrons removed. This Commercial Processing of fats destroys the field of electrons that the cell membranes (60-75 trillion cells) in our bodies must have to fire properly (i.e. function properly).
“The fat’s ability to associate with protein and thereby to achieve water solubility in the fluids of the living body---all this is destroyed. As Dr. Budwig put it, ‘the battery is dead because the electrons in these fats and oils recharge it.’ When the electrons are destroyed the fats are no longer active and cannot flow into the capillaries and through the fine capillary networks. This is when circulation problems arise. Without the proper metabolism of fats in our bodies every vital function and every organ is affected. This includes the generation of new life and new cells. Our bodies produce over 500 million new cells daily. Dr. Budwig points out that in growing new cells, there is a dispolarity between the electrically positive nucleus and the electrically negative cell membrane with it’s high unsaturated fatty acids. During cell division the cell and new daughter cell must contain enough electron rich fatty acids in the cell’s surface area to divide off completely from the old cell. When this process is interrupted the body begins to die.
“In essence, these commercially processed fats and oils are shutting down the electrical field of the cells allowing chronic and terminal diseases to take hold of our bodies....Dr Budwig discovered that when she combined flaxseed oil, with its powerful healing nature of essential electron rich unsaturated fats, and cottage cheese, which is rich in sulfur protein, the chemical reaction produced makes the oil water soluble and easily absorbed into the cell membrane.”
This mixture that has the proper living electron charge for the body is part of the protocol that my husband was on when he was a sarcoma cancer patient and has since become healthy. Ten years later, we still eat it for prevention and everyday health. One day while reading on Dr. Budwig over the internet again, I noticed that people had actually named the mixture “Quark,” and had developed recipes to make it more tasty. I watched a youtube video on it, and then adusted the recipe for myself. Wow, it’s a big step up from how we used to eat it. It’s great stuff!
Since there’s two of us eating about 4-5 tablespoons a day, I like to make it in a batch and then I only have to make it a couple of times a week. Some prefer to eat it immediately, which is fine, too. It’s easy, and tastes like dessert if you make it sweet and fruity.
8 oz. or 1 cup of quality low-fat cottage cheese
4 oz. or ½ cup of organic flax seed oil (I like Barlean’s Flax Oil Liquid the best.
Buzz this with a stick mixer until it seems a bit fluffy. (Mixing it like this is crucial as it makes it more bioavailable. Mix it for at least 2 min. until all the oil is absorbed and the cottage curds are totally gone. It needs to be mixed this way before you add anything else to it.)
Then add 3 tablespoons of honey or 3 tablespoons xylitol or stevia to taste (which has to be measured more in shakes or drops than teaspoons)
2 shakes cinnamon
2-3 teaspoons vanilla
If you think it’s too thick, you can add ¼ c of your favorite fruit juice (I use berry juice).
Mix the rest in with a spoon. Just before I eat it, I may add frozen blueberries to it and a handful of sliced almonds, pine nuts or walnuts. Keep refrigerated. I like to have 4 or 5 tablespoons of my quark and a whole grapefruit for breakfast, and as long as I stay hydrated, it holds me over with lots of energy until lunch, with my “battery” going strong. There are few things I am as excited about eating for my health as this mix. Dr. Budwig would be proud. Ellen
